Anticipate policy and regulation · Executive or business lead

Follow the formal agenda, country positions and adopted wording so you can explain impacts and response deadlines after COP17.

Executive or business leadTurn the signal into an executive choice: business impact, investment scale, accountable owner and decision date.

Prepare three things before the conference

  1. Write the decision you need in one sentence
  2. Name the people to meet and the questions to ask
  3. Define the evidence and deadline you will bring home
02 · CBD OFFICIAL PARALLEL SCHEDULE

Build 23–27 October around your objective.

CBD has published dates for the major parallel meetings. The densest business and finance overlap is 24–26 October; adding the Action Zone on the 23rd and Gender Forum on the 27th creates a stronger decision-making window.

PUBLISHED

Blue Zone programmes require a COP17 registration badge. Dates are published by CBD; some final times, rooms, capacity limits and event-specific registration arrangements are still pending.

CBD date + organiser announcement

Business, finance and youth take the Action Zone

The official Action Zone Auditorium allocation is in the Blue Zone. It overlaps the organiser-announced first day of TNFD's programme, so split coverage when session times are released.

Cities, science, nature and culture converge

Nature and Culture Summit, Cities Summit and Science Forum overlap. The GBF Pavilion covers invasive alien species in the morning, water in the afternoon; the previous evening ocean slot is not currently listed and needs final-programme confirmation. This is also the organiser-announced second TNFD day.

The anchor day for the Business Forum

CBD's current parent list shows the Business Forum, Science Forum, Nature and Culture Summit field trip and ABS in Action. Its relationship to the earlier Business and Biodiversity Forum / Business Day labels awaits the final programme.

Track finance and project pipelines on Finance Day

A day to track resource mobilisation across finance, policy and business. Mountain ecosystems occupy the GBF Pavilion all day. Final times, rooms and any event-specific registration remain pending.
